ADS had an acquisitions-driven growth strategy that Gary was responsible for. In originating and executing a number of transactions, he was effectively able to carve out all the noise around the businesses and provide compelling evidence to the board on the attributes that would make them valued additions. At the same time he ensured vendors remained engaged and incentivised to deliver on our plans. When it came time to sell the combined group, Gary was again the one who led the negotiations and ensured the deal closed.
